2015 Call for Entries Gingerbread House Contest

Register by Saturday, November 21st!

Gingerbread House Contest at Discover PortsmouthCall for Entries for the 25th Annual Gingerbread House Contest at Discover Portsmouth that is a feature of Vintage Christmas in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, the city-wide, month-long celebration anchored by The Music Hall and Strawbery Banke Museum.

Entries must be registered no later than Saturday, November 21, 2015 and delivered to Discover Portsmouth on Tuesday or Wednesday, November 24-25th between 10am and 2pm, or on Saturday or Sunday, November 28-29th between 10am and 1pm. Please read the Contest Rules:

Contest Rules

Created by local businesses, artists, families and kids, the gingerbread houses can be seen from:

Tuesday December 1 – Thursday December 24

10am – 5pm daily with extended hours on Fridays and Saturdays until 8pm, and open for Art Round Town, Friday, December 4, from 5-8pm. The exhibit is free and open to the public at Discover Portsmouth, 10 Middle Street, Portsmouth, NH.

Join us here Tuesday December 1, 2015 5-8pm for the unveiling of the Gingerbread House exhibition (sponsored by Devine Millimet) and kickoff of Vintage Christmas in Portsmouth!

Winners will be announced by the judges on Friday December 4, 2015 5-8pm

The public can continue to vote throughout the month and then on Friday December 18, we’ll announce the Peoples’ Choice Award.

Discover Portsmouth is a cultural gateway that houses a welcome center/clearinghouse for residents and visitors interested in the city’s history, arts and culture; two museums (including the John Paul Jones House) of exhibitions and programs devoted to Portsmouth history; and a shop of unique Portsmouth gifts and books, including those offered by its in-house publishing division. Historic tours, including of the Black Heritage Trail, originate from the center. A gathering place for Portsmouth nonprofits, it is a popular location for event rentals.
