Hello! I used to work at PHS and have known about this program for a while but haven’t done anything about it. I live in an old house in Portsmouth-it would be nice to know the history!
It’s been great seeing more plaques go up around town and people who are interested in their home’s history. Keep an eye out, we are planning more research events for 2025 and hope to have some posted soon.
Hi. I know the existing home is not historical but I am curious what was here long ago.
We’ve had lots of people with new builds on historic lots take part in this program and choose to feature earlier history of the property. We don’t have our next Info & Research Session scheduled, but keep an eye your for one. If you are able to come it’ll give you a good sense of the resources available.
