35th Annual Gingerbread House Contest<br />
November 28-December 30

The sweet annual Portsmouth holiday tradition is back!

Registration opens September 1

Exhibition on display November 27–December 30

Open Daily 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. Free admission.

Theme for 2026:

UFOs: Unidentified Frosted Objects 🛸

Explore the outer limits of baking! This year, to go along with our main exhibition on Betty and Barney Hill, we’re inviting everyone to recreate their favorite out-of-this-world story in gingerbread form!

From Godzilla to giant squid, TIE fighters to TARDISes, Audrey II to awesome rocket ships, take your inspiration from the unknown and unsolved or your favorite science fiction story!

Not a sci-fi fan? No problem. The theme is just a suggestion to get the gears turning. If you want to do Santa’s village or a Portsmouth landmark, go for it!
